Faisal Mahmood will be taking Gestalt training to Pakistan in collaboration with Therapy Chapters.
This five day course will offer an introduction to the Gestalt therapy approach. The aim is to offer a flavour of Gestalt psychotherapy theory and practice in order to support your professional development and growth. We will provide a mix of theory, creative experiments and will also have some time for unstructured group process.
This course will cover the key tenets of Gestalt therapy;
- Overview of Gestalt Therapy Theory
- Phenomenological method
- Therapeutic relationship – dialogical
- Field Theory
- Experimentation (e.g. Empty chair work)
- Creative adjustments
- Self-awareness as an essential therapeutic tool
- Working in the here and now
- Figure and ground
- Clinical assessment and case formulation
- Skills development – directly relevant to advanced clinical work
Learning will be interactive, collaborative and experiential with an opportunity to engage in personal development from within a gestalt group format

This workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about Gestalt, including counsellors, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, trainees and people working in the field of mental or emotional health and/or helping professions;
